The Municipality of McDougall will once again be implementing Internet and Telephone Voting for the 2026 Municipal Election.
As the election draws closer we will be including more information about the voting process on this page.
2026 Election Accessibility Plan
The 2026 Election Accessibility Plan provides an overview of election initiatives aimed at improving accessibility for voters and candidates with disabilities during an election cycle. The main objective of the Plan is to identify and eliminate barriers for persons with disabilities to ensure that elections are accessible to all voters and candidates.

Key Election Dates
- January 1 to June 1, 2026 - Voters to confirm or update school support at www.mpac.ca/schoolsupport.
- January 1 to August 12, 2026 - Voters to contact Elections Ontario at RegisterToVoteON.ca to confirm, update, add information.
- May 1 - Candidate Nomination Period and Third Party Advertiser registration commences.
- August 14 - Elections Ontario to provide the municipality with the Preliminary List of Electors.
- August 21 - Nomination Day, close of nominations 2:00 p.m. local time.
- August 24 - Certification of Nominations.
- August 24 - Declaration of Acclamations, if applicable.
- September 1 - Voters List available, revision period begins.
- October 14 to 26 - Internet & Telephone Voting Period open.
- October 26 - Voting Day.
- November 15 - New Council Term commences.
